November in Stanford Dingley means our second Fireworks Night & more great offers

Last year we under took our first village fire works night. It was a huge success in no small part to the fantastic bonfire which we had. Bonfire night has become so big it is only beaten by the Hunt on Boxing Day for drawing people down to the village. This year we are doing it all over again, with families very much at the centre of our plans. We still offer all of the other great weekly deals such as the now famous Curry Night on Friday and the popular Steak Night on Saturday. With real fires lit every night the pub always has a really warm feel about it.

On the theme of popularity I would also like to thank all of you of you who visited the site last month or recommended a friend. We had the second highest traffic through the web site last month so far this year. To encourage you to keep visiting we have an even better offer this month. Can you believe we have something better than last month? Hard I know but it is true! Go on check out the special offer page and see what you could get this month, it's worth it.

I would also like to draw your attention to this year's Christmas offer which we launched this month. If you are looking for something special at sensible prices then check out the Christmas Menu. We have the benefit of being able to offer you the Conservatory for your sole use if you have a large party.

This November we are also extending our accommodation deal. So if you are looking for a base for a weekend break or maybe a walking holiday in the heart of beautiful Berkshire then give us a call. Alternatively if you are away on business and do not fancy a boring Travel Inn then we can offer you a much better alternative. Close to Reading, Newbury, Thatcham and Aldermarston we are a great base for those of you staying away on business. Check out our accommodation page to learn about our special offers this autumn.

What is happening to the Bull (part 4)

I know it is hard to believe but the building works are now finally finished. It has taken just over five months and countless amount of patience which I did not know that I had but it is over; finally! The roof is now all new and with a bit of luck we will not leak this winter. All right there are a few little challenges remaining and if you were with us last weekend you will know that the chimney in the Tap Room does not draw that well. Actually it does not draw at all but I remain confident that we can fix it.

It would seem appropriate to say thank you to all of you for being so understanding. I know that some of you thought we were closed but to every one thanks so much for supporting us through this very tough stage of our evolution. I will certainly have a very different view if anyone else suggests bringing the builders in.

A Little About Us

For those of you who have not visited us before, The Bull is a very old and traditional English country pub with two bars and a conservatory looking out over our garden and meadow. We are situated in the pretty village of Stanford Dingley which is in the heart of the Pang Valley. We are within easy reach of Reading, Newbury, Aldermarston & Thatcham. With most main roads and the M4 motorway not far away you have good access to all the nearby towns. But being in a village you have a wonderfully peaceful place to visit. As a consequence we are a very popular meeting place for walkers, cyclists and riders alike looking for some where to stop and recharge.

Needless to say we are still totally committed to providing everyone with a great village pub at sensible prices. If you would like to just sit in front of the fire with a glass of wine or decent pint of cask ale then you are always welcome. We would love to see you in the coming months so why not find a reason to pop down to The Bull and don't forget to sign up for this month's voucher before you visit us.

What Is Still Important To Us:

Hope to see you all very soon,
Dave & the team
